Among reports of 9.1 percent unemployment, President Obama visited Toledo, Ohio to highlight the success of Chrysler, which he had decided to bailout after the economic collapse 3 years ago. Peter Nicholas from the Miami Herald turned to The WG’s David Winston for insight:
“He’s struggling to find something he can go out and talk about,” said David Winston, a Republican strategist.
The president is relying on the fact that “Chrysler still exists and didn’t disappear under his watch,” Winston said. “It’s not really a great statement of success.”
