CBS’ Jeff Greenfield looks into the question of why no major GOP figures have officially announced running for presidency for the 2012 elections. Some have only publicly toyed with the idea thus far, like Newt Gingrich. The WG’s David Winston explains why no one has jumped to start any campaigns yet:
“Last time, you had a lot of people in for an extended period of time, and that didn’t really accrue any particular advantage,” said David Winston, a CBS News analyst and longtime Republican strategist.
