The WG’s David Winston comments on Mark Barabak’s latest about the upcoming elections and how finger pointing on both sides of the political aisle hasn’t gotten anyone anywhere, especially with Independent voters. Winston states that excuses don’t mean anything to voters:
“When you blame Bush, it sounds to voters like you’re just making excuses,” said David Winston, a Republican pollster and advisor to GOP leaders in Congress. “It may be a good excuse, but it’s still an excuse.”
