USA Today: Poll: ‘Gaping divide’ between Democrats and ‘switchers’

USA Today writes about the latest poll by the group Third Way, focusing on a group of voters dubbed “switchers,” who voted for Obama in 2008 but then voted for Republicans in the midterm elections. The WG’s David Winston says that winning these voters relies on positioning, especially for President Obama:

“This isn’t about how you’re going to position Republicans,” Winston said. “This is about how are you going to position the president if he’s going to have a chance to win re-election.”
