Biography

Stephanie Slade has been a project director at The Winston Group since September 2011. Prior to beginning her career in public opinion research, she worked as a freelance political speechwriter and was the author of a weekly column for the Washington Post called “The Federal Buzz.” She is a proud graduate of the University of Florida, where she earned a B.A. with highest honors in economics and political science, was selected to Phi Beta Kappa, and spent a semester interning at the White House during the George W. Bush administration.

In 2011, she became the first person to earn an M.A. in political communications from American University in Washington, D.C. From 2009 until 2010 she served as the chief content editor of The Public Purpose, the graduate student political journal of American University’s School of Public Affairs. Her scholarly paper on race and the 2008 gay marriage ban in Florida was presented at the American Political Science Association and Western Political Science Association annual meetings before being published in the July 2011 issue of The Forum.
