Over the Labor Day weekend, Washington Examiner’s Byron York opined Obama’s major misstep in failing to continually attack the failing economy and high unemployment rate, the biggest issues in America’s mind right now. David Winston echoed the question going on in Republicans’ (and voters’) minds:
“I don’t get it,” GOP pollster David Winston told me at the time. “I don’t understand what he is doing. He’s not addressing the No. 1 issue that Americans want him to address.”
